Launching on Saturday 21 October, Moy’s is a truly unique new development located in eclectic Camden.

With an interesting history, the original building was used by engineers Earnest Moy and Percy Bastie, who moved in to set up their radical electronics company where they filed scores of patents for their various inventions. One of these inventions changed the world of entertainment forever – an electric camera which could record moving pictures. Having collaborated with inventor William Friese-Greene, Moy and Bastie produced what is widely recognised as the world’s first Kine camera. This is the Moy’s camera that Captain Robert Scott took to the Antarctic in 1912, that saw duty in the trenches of the First World War and, it is said, that the very first Hollywood movie was shot on. The redeveloped building is named to pay homage to this invention which shaped history.

Reinvented to house just eight individual properties, Moy’s epitomises attention to detail and is a modern take on classic terrace mews houses. Making use of interesting, slick materials, the scheme is in keeping with the edgy, creative personality of Camden.

This collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments has been designed to respect the origins of the industrial building while offering glamorous, urban living spaces. With no two apartments the same, quality of finish and intelligent design is the one constant across the development.

The living spaces include statement kitchens that are hand-built by Sola cabinet makers in Sweden and which feature oversized-depth worktops and exquisite mid-grey cabinetry. Details such as industrial light fittings, dark metal and knurled ironmongery reference the site’s origins. Each kitchen holds its own unique quirks: stone shelves, a hidden corridor, or a full length glazed unit looking back into the apartment’s hall.

Additional features include bespoke wardrobe cabinets to the bedrooms, taps and bathroom brassware from St James of London, timber parquet floors and zoned underfloor heating throughout, bespoke casement windows, energy efficient warm LED downlights, a security system, and 10 year new home warranty by BLP. The apartments are also future proofed for home automation and audio systems.

With its enviable, central location, Moy’s has an abundance to offer potential home owners. Commuters are able walk to Camden Station in 4 minutes, with a trip to Euston taking just 3 minutes. Set in one of London’s hottest postcodes, the development is surrounded by a wealth of restaurants, bars, and boutique shops, and is also a short walk from one of the City’s greatest open spaces, Regent’s Park.
