THE body of a man killed in a gas explosion has been removed from the house.

Firefighters moved the body of the man, who died in a suspected gas explosion on Wednesday evening, just after 9pm last night.

Police are treating the explosion as suspicious, although investigators still have not been able to enter the scene as it has not been declared safe.

Two houses in Stanley Road, South Harrow, were completely destroyed in the blast, which was felt as far away as Hilingdon.

Around 60 residents spent a second night out of their homes last night as the area has not been declared safe.
