Middlesex lost by five wickets to Surrey in the Friends Provident Trophy yesterday at Lord's.

Middlesex struggled to 233-8 with only Gareth Berg impressing with a knock of 65.

But Surrey responded strongly with James Benning hitting 106 to guide them to the win.
