Don’t make your home an easy target

Posted on 9:49am Monday 17th October 2011

This week sees the start of the Met Police's Autumn Nights crime prevention campaign. Historically, this is the time of year when we see an increase in burglaries. With the nights drawing in, please follow some simple crime prevention advice which will help to make your home more secure and make life more difficult for burglars: Close and lock all your doors and windows, even if you are only going out for a few minutes Make sure UPVC doors are properly locked with a key Leave lights and a radio on when you are not at home.

Congratulations to the Zoroastrian Community

Posted on 7:00am Wednesday 12th October 2011

HRH the Duke of Edinburgh had an opportunity to meet with our local community and presented gifts to distinguished guests, including three members of the Zoroastrian community who like the Prince were also celebrating being 90 years of age.

Posted on 9:26am Tuesday 13th September 2011

I am pleased to be back at work after my break which involved cycling with my daughters. The Deputy Borough Commander, Neil Vyse worked very hard dealing with the aftermath of the disorder in London, working long and unsocial hours across the capital. Although Harrow was not affected by the riots, our officers were patrolling throughout London.
